Fair Shakes Daughter

Postby FirmGrip on Mon Apr 07, 2008 3:17 am

Hello all! In case you couldn't figure it out from the headline I'm "firmgrips" daughter... I decided since my mother has spent hours upon hours wasting away her time in this little corner of my house I would check out what her new found "child" is all about. Its about time i size up my competition!
Anyway I really do find it cool what you all are doing and even though I usually tune out her hours upon hours of senseless babble about everything the few key parts I have listened to sound pretty interesting.
Well my mother is nearly having a heart attack because she freaking out about what i'm writing on here... hehehe if I was truly evil I would spill some deep dark secrets, but because the thought of being confined in my room for the next two years doesn't sound too appealing i think I'll leave it at that. :)
Have a great day all!!

Oh my goodness. A new TOPIC even. That was my 18 year old daughter, Lisa.

Well....maybe later I'll think it's funny--and since I'm NOT going to censor people, I guess it is only fair that I leave this here. After all---perhaps it is a reminder that behind all these internet posts, there are real-life people--some of us living with real-life teenage pranksters. Maybe it will even make someone laugh or smile.

What can I say? When I had my twins, they were a huge surprise in my life--and I instantly decided that if I had to put up with having twins I hadn't planned on, then the WORLD was going to have to put up with me having twins I hadn't planned on. So there you go. No apologies.

My kids keep me going on my darkest days. I can't imagine life without them. Even when they hijack the computer and make me VERY NERVOUS!!!

(P.S.---the silly twerp doesn't even know my NAME on here---I edited it in the post, but as you can see from the title of her post, she thinks my user name is Fair Shake. I'm happy to share---she can be the daughter of all of us!) :o)

I find this extremely amusing (maybe because it's YOUR daughter and not MINE posting in here!). I was pretty confused by the title "Fair Shake's Daughter" ... thought maybe we had a mini-forum branching off or something!

Lisa - I think it's great that you support the HUGE effort your mom's putting into this site and this boycott. Give her a big hug from all of us here!

I am NOT touching that with a ten foot pole! So, I guess you love her as much as we do?!

Glad, I know when I've been insulted---now how is it you are able to accomplish that, and STILL have me laughing heartily?!!!

I know you would all love this girl---she helps keep me in line! (NOT KIDDING!) LOL

Hey glad--I was telling her about our phone conversation today, and how strange it was to discover that we had VOICES and LAUGHS---and she immediately rolled her eyes and said "Oh GAWWWWD----your CACKLE!!!" I get teased a lot about my stupid laugh which my kids think I use WAY too often--Especially while sitting in front of the COMPUTER!!

Oh...and I suppose I should probably MOVE this topic, because it undoubtedly does NOT belong in tea & sympathy--but my daughter is directionally challenged, so please forgive her (she thinks "north" is always straight ahead).

She undoubtedly chose this room because she liked the SOUND of it--as she does enjoy that occasional cup o' tea!

Almost embarrassed to say--after all these years of being warned what a terrible time I could expect when DAUGHTER turned teenager---WOW do I feel lucky!!!! (Is the "worst" yet to come?!!!) We have a lot of fun--and although there have certainly been a few "moments"--this girl is a treasure. But if she comes in here and reads that, I'm going to claim that one of the moderators must have edited my message!!!!! LOL

No there isn't worst to come...just different worries. I have to say I think my son is super, don't get me wrong we do clash at times but that's because of our different personalities. But he has never brought trouble to my door, as always worked dispite low wages, very honest & great with animals & children....however he is untidy, not very domesticated & has a tyipical laid-back attitude, which is not a bad thing.....fortunately my son doesn't visit here....the problems I have had as not been with him but some of his ex's, 2 in particular....they were not good times....but thankfully he has a great girlfriend at the moment...fingers crossed.....Hugs Chrissy xx

LOL----the "tidiness" issue!!!

NONE of us will use the upstairs bathroom anymore until Lisa moves out!!! That girl changes her clothes MANY times a day (and loves to "layer"--so each change involves half a dozen clothing items, not to mention a change of accessories), has never learned how to operate a hanger, and the bathroom has become her "kingdom"--clothes everywhere all the time--cords from various hair appliances strung everywhere--makeup, perfume bottles, jewelry scattered--phones, text books and homework?!!!!, tanning lotions...hair dying/bleaching/repairing potions everywhere, she even carts her chair and stereo in there at times---her "office". Thank goodness there is more than one bathroom in this house!

I may have a son but they are as bad these days...he takes longer in the shower than me, hair gel & shaving containers with tops off, don't mention the toothpaste...I have always encouraged clean clothes every day, which he does, but does he have to leave a top he has tried on for only a second on the bathroom floor!!!!!! We have now a downstairs shower room, etc that just needs the floor sealing, also having the bathroom made into a seperate shower room & bathroom...& the bathroom's going to be mine coz hubby can be just as bad sometimes.....don't you just love them....the WITCH x
