This will need further research and likely moved to a different folder, but I thought I'd drop a note in here in case it helps or just to jog my own memory to follow up later!
I was having some serious computer issues last week and was on the phone with Comcast support. The gentleman helping me was very friendly and we were chatting back and forth while he ran tests, etc., and he happened to mention that he knew how it awful it was if you system was down, since his wife ran an e-commerce business.
Of course, my first reaction was, "Please tell me it ISN'T eBay!" No, he said, they'd had it with eBay two years ago, when they held over $50,000 of their funds for several weeks, without paying interest. So they started their own website, started using Intuit for checkout, and have done fantastic ever since.
I had not heard that Intuit has a checkout system. I certainly intend to look into it, and will post more just as soon as I can. A lot of businesses use QuickBooks and this should tie in seamlessly.
[NOTE: Posting to Questions & Suggestions re: e-Commerce, as well as Checkout & Money Transfer Options.]
