I would use the link they choose which is http://www.powersellersunite.com

The way google backlinks work the link has to be right or it is not counted as a valid link.

Hi hotandvintage (like the name by the way). I've clicked on the link to your blog and all that comes up is 'the webpage cannot be found'...

Hot........will you please ask a representative from PowerSellersUnite to contact us here so that we can coordinated our efforts for the Boycott? If you wish to be that person ....you will be more then welcome. We would also appreciate you placing your logo in the "Boycotting Groups" section of this forum.

I don't know that PSU, as an entity, is Boycotting, many members of that forum still use eBay, though many members ARE boycotting...

[font=Verdana]Hi PRG and H&V!

I am going to be making some posts at Power Sellers Unite about this, but would love your help in spreading the word about this very subject. What we need to make people and/or groups understand is exactly what you are stating here.

Some sites such as PSU are not a "group" per se. Rather, it is one location with a lot of smaller groups. Some are boycotting, some are not, and others have boycotted and moved on. I believe it would benefit EACH of these groups to have individual representation here, not just boycotters or those who MAY be affected by it in the future, but also those who have left eBay and are not actively involved in the boycott effort.

Fair Shake has the ability to provide these groups with private meeting rooms (if they so choose), or a chatroom (public OR private) where they can discuss their groups particular issues and concerns without having to "post". There are a lot of great features on this site and we hope for representation from EVERYONE to build.

That includes ANY individual, group, website or business involved in the online marketing trade. If you have any questions or need help with any of this at PSU, please get in touch with me here through Fair Shake. You've both been a great help so far, and we appreciate it!

Also added that in the PSU forum so sure someone will step up

Yep a lot of us are stuck with it, until we can get everything else sorted.

But I think they support the boycott, as it fits in with what they stand for

"PSU was “born” when eBay implemented rate increases that significantly impacted sellers large & small. The fee hikes affect buyers also, as most sellers have no choice but to pass on the eBay fees to buyers. Our focus has now shifted away from the eBay boycott in early 2005 to helping sellers, and buyers, find the best alternative auction site(s) for their needs."

And this is doing no end of good to that idea

Thank you for that explanation of PSU--it sounds like it must surely be accurate, and most likely represents where MANY are at, outside of PSU, as well. Many HAVE moved on, many ARE stuck with eBay for now, but ALL are interested in what can be done to help the online marketplace be stable, fair, and yes--even FUN again, for all. Whether Boycotting or not, millions of people believe that changes need to be made to improve online marketing. And that is exactly what Fair Shake is about. Even though it was built during THIS boycott, just as PSU was built during another Boycott, the mission is more far-reaching than this time and this situation. The immediate focus right now is on the changes happening at eBay, but the long-term focus will be information and communication about improving marketing--not only on eBay, but on private websites, and any of the other emerging marketplaces. I am anxious for Buyers and Sellers to begin a dialog with representatives from auction websites, so that we can all save time and find what will work best.

From everything I have heard, PSU is an excellent organization, and I truly believe that what we are trying to build here at Fair Shake can be a compliment to all PSU members. Networking and communication between these two forums can help accomplish our mutual goals. I am certain there is a wealth of information that PSU can share with all those who will soon be needing so much guidance. I have to repeat how happy we are to have you joining us, as individuals, and as representing your highly respected organization.

Thank you.
